Short Description:

As induced draft type cross flow evaporative cooling tower, the tower fluid (water, oil or propylene glycol) is used to provide cooling which is enclosed in a coil and is not exposed directly to the air. The coil serves to isolate the process fluid from the outside air, keeping it clean and contaminate free in a closed loop. Outside of the coil, there is water spraying over the coil and mixes with the outside air to discharge warm air from the cooling tower to the atmosphere as a portion of the water evaporates. Cold water outside of the coil is re-circulated and reused: the cool water loops back to the beginning of the process to absorb more heat during evaporating. It helps maintain a clean process fluid which will reduce the maintenance and operation costs.

Convenient Maintenance
Humanization design structure with over-sized access door (lockable) and sufficient inner space, the maintenance personnel could conveniently enter inside of the tower for daily inspection and maintenance no matter the equipment is running or shut-downs.

Anti-scaling
Due to the cooled dry air and spray water flow in a parallel path, the surface of tube been completely damped by the spray water to avoid any dry spot which will lead to scale deposit. And the spray water’s temperature is lower than scaling temperature which also highly reduces scaling.

Excellent Heat Exchange Performance
The cross-flow closed loop coolers adopt a combination technology of both coil and stuffing for heat rejection which optimized the heat transfer surfaces to improve the system efficiency. 

ICE Evaporative cross-flow closed circuit coolers’ structure and key components introduction:

Ventilation System (Fan)
Outdoor axial fan with good performance of three-protection design, equipped with aluminum blade and IP56, F class driven motor with induced ventilator which will block the air and reduce the leakage.

Advanced Water Distribution System
Due to the air and water flow in a parallel path, it is capable to inspect and maintain during the running process.

Cooler (coil)
Made in high quality stainless steel 304 which been classified and passed 3 times 2.5Mpa pressure measurement to ensure the performance.

Scale Cleaner
It’s an optional choice for the recalculating water treatment.

Filling (PVC)
Constructed and made of PVC to lower the spray water temperature which will avoid scale and the filling actually increase the system efficiency by reducing the water consumption with a better heat transferring performance.

Spray Pump
ICE coolers equipped with mechanical sealed centrifugal pump.

Water Basin
The slope design (tilt towards pollutant discharge exit) and the stainless steel strainer will improve the overflow and pollution discharge simultaneously clears the pollutants and impurities in the basin.
